New Blog, Same Great Content

After many years, I am back!

If you've seen this blog before, you will notice that it has undergone a severe facelift. The blog formerly known as Word for Word was created when I was fresh out of college and had no idea where I was going or who I might be; I just knew that I enjoyed books and I loved to write.

Now, here we are, seven years later and so much has changed! I have learned a lot about myself and what I see for my future.

I am a librarian and am back in school getting my Library Science degree. I have discovered that I am asexual and panromantic. I am a hobby drag queen known as Hella Va'Night. I am doing my best to take an active role in making real, positive change for society and my community. And I am revamping my own style and becoming the type of person I would have admired and respected when I was younger.

With all this change within myself, I felt that the old blog didn't quite represent me anymore. So, I am happy to introduce you to Hella Va'Book! I am combining my love of literature with my love of drag. But, as I always have, I won't shy away from real, honest reviews. As my tag line still reads, I will share the good, the bad, and all those that are worth a re-read.

I have many plans for the future of this blog, including doing tie-in TikToks. To the right, you will find a link to my TikTok so you don't miss a thing!
